Safety

With our excursions being so remote … we plan extensively.

Throughout the planning stages of all our trips we compile risk assessments and implement protocols for any eventuality, be it medical ailments, injury, natural disaster or political instability.

With backgrounds in travel and risk management, we have our own pre defined set procedures for both domestic and international incidents. We also through our own company policy have precautions that are measurable to the expedition difficulty level itself. Thereby, we may request medical certificates and conduct fitness tests during the planning stages of an ardeous expedition. This is to make sure that individual participants are physically and mentally fit enough for the particular expedition. Where participants may fall short of the required standard, we develop specific training programs to enable them to reach optimum performance, supporting them every step of the way.

Our travel manager remains on call 24/7 when we have a team out on an expedition, allowing a qualified level of response to react to any critical event immediately.

All of our guides hold medical qualifications and in some cases we may require participants to conduct training depending on the environment and group size. For further information please feel free to contact us, we’d be happy to hear from you.
